Job Description:
Position Overview:
Under the direction of the Warehouse Supervisor, the Delivery/Install Tech is someone who reports to the warehouse each shift to prepare for current deliveries/installations. Duties include keeping a clean truck, checking paperwork and then systematically loading the truck for the day. Matching the load to the paperwork. Travel and/or drive delivery route and deliver to customers in the order provided. Follow all JHT and DOT policies while on the road and with the customer/client. Customer service and teamwork skills are critical in this position. This is a non-supervisory position.
Responsibilities:
Shipping, Receiving, and Delivery:
· Pick finished goods according to sales orders
· Label each shipment and check all items for accuracy
· Prepare sturdy, balanced pallet loads for damage free shipping
· Notify supervisor or sales department when major discrepancies occur, over-shipments or substitutions have been made
· On received goods, counts all items unloaded from trucks, or trailers
· Check suppliers’ count and reports discrepancies to carrier and to department which placed the order
· Unload inbound containers with finished goods or parts
· Load trucks for local delivery and check paperwork to make sure that the load matches
· Perform local deliveries in a timely and professional manner
· Customer Service – Contact customers daily to inform of arrival time
· Any/All projects or direction given to you by supervisor

· Maintain work environment to 5S standards
· Punctual: begins work on time and returns from lunch and breaks on time
· All paperwork and database entries filled out completely and accurately · Promote a positive team atmosphere with co-workers

Qualifications:
Education:
· High school degree or GED required
Experience:
· Shipping, receiving, and delivery experience preferred
Other Requirements:
· Valid drivers license
· Basic computer skills required
· Ability to lift 50 lbs regularly, 100 lbs occasionally and 200+ lbs as a team lift or with material handling equipment
Skills:
· Gain knowledge of inventory system, product acceptance criteria and product quality checklists
· Demonstrated effective interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
· Strong sense of initiative and a sense of urgency, demonstrated by accomplishing tasks; improving current work processes; and assisting others when necessary
