What you’ll do:
The Missouri Administrative Hearing Commission, a quasi-judicial administrative agency, has an immediate opening in its Jefferson City office for a Missouri licensed attorney. Recent bar examinants may apply. Staff attorney responsibilities include preparing draft decisions/orders, providing legal advice to Commissioners and staff, and responding to public inquiries. Position requires excellent writing and oral communication skills. Experience in the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act, tax law, pre-trial motions, Medicaid provider law, state employee personnel law, and/or professional licensing a plus. All you need for success:
- Missouri Licensed Attorney
- Possess 1-3 years of experience in administrative law, regulatory law, or general civil litigation.
- Demonstrate self-motivation, critical thinking, and ability to work with a team
- Trustworthiness with confidential information
- Be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, Westlaw, Adobe Acrobat, and capable of learning new computer systems
