Solid Commercial Solutions is a fast-growing Atlanta based facilities maintenance company specializing in self-performing maintenance service calls. We provide maintenance and project services to businesses throughout the Atlanta metro area. Our customers range from large national retail brands to grocery stores, restaurants, daycares, medical offices, and distribution centers. Our team includes technicians specializing in various trades that are on the road delivering services to customers and a back office team of coordinators, dispatch, and data entry support staff. Services we deliver range from fixing a clogged toilet or updating lighting fixtures, to replacing walls, flooring, plumbing, and everything in between. We pride ourselves on being the “easy button” for customers—with one call they can have all their maintenance needs taken care of. We’re growing and looking forward to add to our team!

We are looking for a reliable Maintenance Person to undertake upkeep and repair tasks at the interior or exterior of client premises. Our customers rely on us to keep their facilities in great condition by doing various odd jobs. Deft hands and technical knowledge are important parts of a maintenance person’s arsenal. You must be well-organized with strong interpersonal and general repair skills. A keen eye for detail and physical stamina are valued greatly in this job.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance and light repairs
• Paint and fill gaps or crevices (on walls, sidewalks, etc.)
• Undertake light installation or carpentry (e.g. fix cabinets)
• Repair equipment or appliances
• Diagnosis and fix minor electrical, plumbing, or HVAC repairs
• Undertake duties as assigned or emergency tasks
• Identify and report the need for major repairs.

Skills

• Proven experience as a maintenance person
• Experience with hardware tools and electrical equipment
• Basic understanding of electrical, plumbing, or HVAC systems
• Basic math skills
• Ability to effectively communicate with your peers as well as the customer
• Well-organized and apt in problem-solving
• Attention to detail

Additional Requirements

• Must provide your own tools
• Must provide reliable transportation during the probationary period
• A probationary period of 90 days
• A background check (No burglary, theft, robbery, fraud, embezzlement, and any other crimes of dishonesty)
