Join a team that’s not just serving food—we’re serving second chances!

Position Overview

As Executive Director, you’ll be the visionary leader steering our organization toward greater impact. You’ll oversee all operations, from strategic planning and fundraising to daily cafe management, ensuring our programs continue to uplift and empower those in recovery. This role demands a blend of nonprofit expertise, business acumen, and a genuine enthusiasm for service. We’re looking for someone who wakes up excited to change lives and inspire others to do the same!

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead strategic planning, budgeting, and fundraising efforts to sustain and expand our programs.
  • Oversee cafe/restaurant operations, including staff management, menu development, and customer experience to maintain a welcoming, recovery-focused atmosphere.
  • Develop and implement job training and employment initiatives that provide meaningful opportunities for participants in recovery.
  • Build partnerships with community organizations, donors, and stakeholders to enhance our reach and resources.
  • Ensure compliance with nonprofit regulations, financial reporting, and grant requirements.
  • Foster a positive, inclusive culture that prioritizes empathy, resilience, and teamwork.
  • Champion our mission through public speaking, advocacy, and community engagement.

Required Qualifications

  • Proven experience in organizational leadership, including strategic planning, marketing, fundraising, and external relations.
  • Strong financial management skills, with experience in budgeting and grant writing.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead teams and drive organizational growth.
  • Restaurant management experience is essential, with a track record of overseeing food service operations, inventory, and compliance with health/safety standards.
  • Associate’s degree in business, culinary management, nonprofit management, social work, or a related field (Bachelor’s preferred).
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications (Big Pluses!)

  • Personal connection to recovery—lived experience that fuels your passion for this work.
  • Military veteran status or hands-on experience working with veterans and/or individuals with PTSD, bringing unique insights to our supportive programs.
  • Familiarity with addiction recovery models, such as 12-step programs, and a commitment to trauma-informed care.

We’re thrilled to find a candidate who’s not just qualified, but truly passionate about serving others and creating lasting change. If you have the energy, empathy, and expertise to lead our organization into an exciting future, we can’t wait to hear from you!
