Job Description:

Under the direction of the Senior East Coast Warehouse Manager, the Assembly Lead will hire, train, and provide leadership to Assembly Technicians. Perform various processes, including use of the computer, RF Scanner, hand tools, and forklift to complete the assembly and organization of products in accordance with company policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

Training and Leadership:

Train and develop team of Assembly Technicians

Oversee and direct Assembly Technicians daily functions

Lead by example

General:

Follow daily production plan

Prep each work cell with product and stage finished product

Perform general assembly per instructions or specifications

Operates any equipment needed to perform job

Quality Control:

Perform quality check on finished units

Able to be consistently accurate

Report defective materials or questionable conditions to Manager and Quality Department

Reporting:

Out of Box reporting in quality database

Complete daily production forms

Complete monthly reporting for KPIs

Shipping:

Prepare finished product for shipping

Assist shipping department as needed to meet daily goals

Safety:

Follow all safety policies

Recommend changes to ensure safe and productive workplace

Maintain Work Practices:

Maintain work environment to 5S standards

Promote a positive team atmosphere with co-workers and subordinates

Be on time for your scheduled work day

Education:

Requires high school diploma or equivalent required

Prefer two-year degree in related field preferred

Forklift license required

Experience:

Minimum of 2 years of assembly experience and general knowledge of tools required

Two years of related experience or training or previous leadership role preferred

Experience in the assembly department at Johnson Health Tech NA is preferred

Other Requirements:

Ability to work overtime when needed

Valid drivers license with acceptable driving record required for occasional local travel

Proficient with Microsoft Word and Excel

Background in SAP preferred
