Job Description:

The Office of Institutional Advancement is seeking a qualified Associate Director of Personalized Stewardship and Recognition.

The Associate Director will be primarily responsible for directing the development of strategies, proposals, and implementation plans associated with a university-wide personalized stewardship program for high-net-worth donors. Personalized stewardship includes designing activities to foster life-long engagement between donors who have generously made gifts to the University at $1 million and above gift levels. Responsibilities include collaborating with schools and development staff, managing specific stewardship tasks, creating stewardship strategies and providing quality service to internal and external constituents. The Associate Director will work closely with prospect managers to develop adequate strategies for donors who have made gifts in excess of $5 million and will execute these strategies as the stewardship manager. The incumbent is also responsible for the strategic and operational direction of the Cathedral of Learning Society, Brackenridge Circle recognition programs and other donor recognition programs and activities.

The position will also regularly update the ADVANCE database and ensure the integrity of the data entered and reviewed. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, organization, prioritization, and project management skills are required as well as the ability to demonstrate strong teamwork, diplomacy, and technical ability. Travel, evening, and weekend work may be required.

Bachelor’s degree required, master’s preferred. Five or more years of experience in fundraising, non-profit administration, and/or work involving project management.
