Customer Service Representative

Equitable Bank in Omaha is looking to add a full-time Customer Service Representative to our team! Must be available between the hours of 8 am – 5 pm Monday – Friday.

Job Summary:
This position is responsible for providing excellent customer service while efficiently and accurately processing customer’s transactions. The position will also assist with opening new accounts or making changes to existing accounts.

Responsibilities:
• Responsible for comprehensive, prompt and efficient processing of customer transactions
• Receives checks and cash for deposits to accounts, verifies amounts, examines checks for proper endorsements and enters deposits into computer records
• Cashes checks from a variety of accounts upon proper verification
• Receives and posts mortgage, consumer loan and other payments
• Balances cash drawer at the end of the shift. Reports any discrepancies to supervisor
• Explains bank services and charges to customers
• Opens New Accounts including verification and entry of customer information
• Educates customers on available services
• Process account changes, close accounts, investigate unauthorized transactions
• Issues Official Checks and Gift Cards.
• Reports malfunctions of teller terminals and other equipment used at the teller station.
• Cross-sells bank products and services as appropriate
• Performs all other duties as assigned

Qualifications:
• High School Diploma or Equivalent
• 1+ years customer service experience
• Banking experience is preferred.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office products
• Excellent communication and listening skills
• Able to problem solve and find resolutions in an efficient manner
• Excellent time management skills
• Ability to handle multiple priorities and ensure accurate and timely completion of all tasks
