SUNY Delhi seeks a dynamic, forward-thinking, and engaging full-time, tenure-track Welding Technologies faculty member to join the School of Applied Technologies starting August 2021.

Desirable candidates will have the ability and credentials to handle a variety of lecture and laboratory course instruction online, in person or hybrid teaching. Course subject areas include all Manual and Semi-Automatic Welding, Theory and Processes, Ornamental/Structural Fabrication, Blueprint Reading, CADD, Metallurgy, Welding Certification Testing and Inspection.  Applicants must be proficient in GTAW/SMAW welding skills on plate and pipe.

Program Development:

• Participate in annual systematic assessment of program
• Participate in analyzing data and makes recommendations for curriculum and programmatic revisions where necessary

Teaching Responsibilities:

• Provide evidence-based instruction in accordance with the policies set forth by the College
• May provide online, in-person, or hybrid instruction
• Post and keep regular office hours for the convenience of students
• Participate in the assessment of course, student learning, and program outcomes
• Incorporate student service learning opportunities

Advisement:

• Assist in advisement of students
• Guide and counsel students toward personal and career development
• Track student’s completion of progression requirements
