We are a continuous casting aluminum rolling mill who established operations in 1984 and is located in Fort Lupton Colorado, 35 miles north of downtown Denver. We are the proud owner of a patented casting process that supplies coiled aluminum sheet to the packaging and automotive markets with a broad range of alloys, thicknesses, and coatings. We require your exceptional skills to be responsible for the vision and longevity of our complex foundry and mill equipment in an industrial manufacturing environment. We are seeking a skilled Industrial Electrician to join our high performing maintenance team who will be responsible for the day-to-day and long term maintenance of our complex foundry and mill equipment in an industrial manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities:
Read and interpret safety and work instructions both verbal and written to understand required specifications
Inspect machinery to maintain specified parameters
Perform preventative maintenance on machines
Maintain electrical equipment to meet regulatory codes
Operate a forklift, skid steer, mobile crane, bridge cranes, jib cranes, scissor lifts and articulating man lifts
Review and assist with the creation schedule, work instructions, work logs and other company information by utilizing standard computer programs and e-mail
Train teammates when appropriate.
Support special projects as needed.
Experience with 13.2, DC transformers from 12v to 1200v, 480 vac.
Knowledge of Red Lion controls
Knowledge of Control Logix, Allan Bradley, Automax, Automate and Modicon
Use of Fluke 289 multimeter (company provided), ohmmeters, voltmeters and oscilloscopes.
Knowledge of AC and reliance DC drives. Proficient with programming on VFDs
Experience with replacing motor brushes on 1600 hp DC motors down to 5 hp.
Knowledge of gas burners is essential.
Advanced mechanical and electrical knowledge, ability and aptitude
Perform shaft alignments using laser equipment to a +- tolerance of .001
Read and interpret mechanical and electrical drawings
Must be able to analyze and execute problem solving techniques to improve equipment reliability and availability as a team of skilled trade workers
Willingness to work various days/weekends to see projects through completion.
Able to work any shift (2x2x3 schedule), 12 hours per shifts, alternating day/nights every 6 weeks

Compensation: $27-35per Hour DOE
