Job Description:

The University of Pittsburgh’s Computing Services and Systems Development (CSSD) is seeking an experienced document imaging and technical business analyst to join the IT Customer and Application Support team. The IT Business Analyst will assist campus departments, users, and technology staff to develop and support document imaging and document management solutions primarily using the ImageNow product.

The imaging engineer/technical business analyst will have primary responsibility for prioritizing imaging projects, applying software upgrades, and advanced technical support services for the enterprise wide ImageNow implementation. This senior-level imaging engineer will be responsible for the daily server and client side advanced application level support of the ImageNow system.

The IT Business Analyst will serve as the primary liaison between the University and Perceptive Software on projects requiring vendor involvement. Strong project management, communication, and coordination skills will also be required along with an in-depth knowledge of the ImageNow product.

Additional responsibilities include but are not limited to advanced requirements gathering, business analysis, process re-engineering, support issue prioritization and escalation, quality assurance testing, applying software upgrades, coordinating testing, and documentation.

Bachelor of Science degree preferred in CS, IS, or related field. Advanced knowledge of Perceptive Software’s ImageNow Product Suite is preferred. Experience with Windows Server 2003/2008 is preferred. Advanced Desktop/Scanner/Scanning Support skills for Windows XP/Vista/7 are required. Knowledge and experience with paperless strategies and services.

Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or related field preferred or the equivalent in work experience.

Minimum of 5 years of experience in systems analysis, design, and development.

Knowledge and experience with paperless strategies and services. Experience & knowledge in document imaging applications such as ImageNow preferred. Experience leading business requirements gathering and translating those into system/application/workflow requirements. Experience leading business process design as it relates to document imaging solutions. Experience providing technical support of application systems such as ImageNow preferred.
