Job Description:
The University of Pittsburgh’s Computing Services and Systems Development (CSSD) department is seeking an IT Consultant Analyst that will have responsibility for support of computing devices.
The Consultant position is a high-level technical position responsible for the support of servers, workstations, applications, and departmental network printers, computer/printer-related tasks, and overall assessment of departmental printing needs. This position requires a broad knowledge of Windows and Macintosh based operating systems, Microsoft Outlook used in conjunction with Exchange Servers, and the ability to troubleshoot and resolve driver/software issues. Additionally, understanding of networks, firewalls, and client/server architecture concepts is essential for execution of duties. The incumbent will also be responsible for developing and/or maintaining procedural documentation required in support of duties. This position reports to the manager of the Consulting Services program within Computing Services and Systems Development (CSSD). The incumbent must have the ability to provide exceptional customer service, manage tasks efficiently while meeting deadlines, and possess excellent communication skills. Degree in Information Science, Computer Science and/or two years related job experience required.
