Job Description:
Position Overview:
Under the direction of the Inside Sales Manager, the Lead Sales Support 3D Artist is someone who performs a variety of design and graphic duties in accordance with company policies and procedures. Duties include 2D and 3D design layout. Fitness equipment layouts will be the primary responsibility of this position. This is a non-supervisory position
Responsibilities
Design Process:
- Works with sales department in creating 3D fitness equipment layouts and slide presentations
- Problem solving in design process
- Presentation preparations via illustrations and/or product concept renderings
- Product research as necessary
- Maintains CAD files and fabrication of fitness equipment icons with the marketing and engineering teams
- Computer design layout
Continuous Improvement and Project Management:
- Engages in planning, evaluating, organizing, and implementing projects
- Ensure the team is focused on making art optimized for performance, quality and brand standards
- Excellent skills in prioritizing
- Ability to handle numerous projects concurrently
- Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals
- Build an environment that empowers the team to solve problems
- Maintains Company and Industry safety standards along with ADA compliance standards.
Develop Process Knowledge:
- Gains working knowledge of Matrix commercial sales processes, brand standards and customers expectations to continually improve the 2D and 3D sales layout processes
Develop Industry Knowledge and Network:
- Stays up to date on industry trends and styles
- Involved with peers in professional development, classes or associations
- Strives to constantly improve skill sets: illustration, designing, communication internally and externally with customers and their architects when necessary
Marginal Job Functions:
- Other projects as needed
Qualifications:
Education:
- Bachelors degree in Fine Art, Computer Graphics or other multimedia field required
Experience:
- 2+ years of 3D architectural graphic design required
- Fluency in the latest creative software and hardware preferred
Other Requirements:
- Knowledge of Rhino, Revit, and AutoCAD required
- Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, SolidWorks preferred
