Job Description:

Trans States Airlines is seeking individuals with military aircraft maintenance backgrounds who are interested in transitioning into new careers as commercial Aircraft Maintenance Technicians.   We are offering an attractive package of education, pay and benefits to assist transitioning military personnel in obtaining their FAA Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) licensing.
Candidates will receive:
  • Free intensive classroom test prep
  • Free FAA Testing
  • Hourly pay during test prep and testing
  • Per diem and paid accommodations during test prep and testing*
Once licensed, candidates will be given a complimentary Sonic Tools toolset and a Trans States Airlines class date.  As a Trans States employee, the candidate will be eligible for a full benefits package, including health and dental insurance, 401(k), and airline travel privileges.
This program requires a two-year employment commitment from all candidates.  After two years, the employee will be eligible for up to $5,000 in annual retention and longevity bonuses.

THIS PROGRAM IS LIMITED TO INDIVIDUALS WITH TWO OR MORE YEARS OF ACTIVE OR RESERVIST MILITARY AVIATION MAINTENANCE EXPERIENCE, SUPPORTED BY M.O.S. and DD214 DOCUMENTATION.

Fleet
Trans States Airlines operates the Embraer 145 and provides contract maintenance on the Bombardier CRJ700/900.
Pay
  • Hourly pay for Trans States A & P mechanics is among the highest in the regional airline industry.  Pay is commensurate with experience.

Qualifications
  • Must possess a minimum of high school diploma or equivalent
  • Must possess a valid driver‘s license
  • Legal right to work in, and travel freely in and out of, ​the United States​​
  • DOT required pre-employment drug test
  • TSA required fingerprint check for Criminal History Records Check
  • Must be able to work any shift
  • Must be able to read and converse fluently in English
  • Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
  • Legally operate company vehicles and equipment with no restrictions
  • Able to stand for extended periods of time
  • Able to climb stairs, ladders, and work platforms
  • Able to kneel, bend, and sit
