Job Description:

JOB TITLE: Rotary Wing Aviation Support Manager

PROJECT OVERVIEW:

Serve as a subject matter expert (SME) by providing Future Vertical Lift (FVL) expertise to the Office of the Under Secretary of Defense (USD) Acquisition and Sustainment (A&S) as it relates to FVL analysis, Operational rotary wing aviation expertise, DoD policy and procedures, and Industry rotary wing aviation analysis.

JOB DESCRIPTION AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Provide subject matter expertise and support to USD (A&S) for a wide range of Joint, Service and other aviation projects. Contribute to ongoing Future Vertical Lift analysis, requirements and acquisition efforts. Provide subject matter expertise for DoD, Joint Staff and Service requirements policy and procedures.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:

Security Clearance: Top Secret

• Top Secret clearance
• BA/BS Degree
• Tactical aviation operational experience (Brigade and below)
• OSD (AT&L)/(A&S) or Joint Staff experience
• Knowledge of the DoD Future Vertical Lift Initiative
• Senior level communications and presentation skills
• Working knowledge of DoDD 5000 series and JCIDS

DESIRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:

• Masters degree

WORK LOCATION: Arlington, VA

TRAVEL: 10%
