The company’s Environmental Group develops custom water hygiene programs to minimize the risks associated with Legionella bacteria and other waterborne pathogens in building water systems. A closely controlled water treatment program is an essential element in every streamlined facility. We focus on providing clients with superior, cost- effective water treatment products and services, delivered by some of the most experienced and educated water treatment engineers. We are currently looking for multiple Sales professionals for the Detroit and Lansing areas.
While acting as Application Engineer, the employee’s responsibilities consist of: Travelling to customer sites to provide service and technical support to new and established accounts, document field service activities, conduct surveys and prepare proposals and bids, perform field water tests to monitor monochloramine generator performance, assist local Barclay field engineers with pre-installation survey of client domestic water piping systems, supervise installation of flow meters on domestic water supply lines to enable generators to proportionally feed monochloramine into potable water systems, conduct annual account reviews, identify potential new accounts.
As a Barclay Area Manager you’ll be responsible for managing your own territory, making cold calls to develop new business and servicing existing customers. Ensures profitability of accounts within an assigned territory through proper pricing and contract management, assistance with collection of past due accounts receivables, and good use of service time. Additional responsibilities will include: reporting any accounts in jeopardy to both District and Regional Sales Managers, and ensuring your accounts and shared accounts are in administrative good standing. Compose clear, concise, and accurate letters and proposals to customers. Conducting annual business review, and effectively manage time and budget or expense parameters. Assist in training of new sales and service people as assigned.
As a District Manager you will ensure that your assigned personnel are trained and able to meet their duties and responsibilities as outlined in their respective job description. As well as developing district sales plan with Regional Manager and manage sales budget by individual territory. The District Manager monitors actual sales results and profitability in comparison to established sales plan (budget) and suggest corrective action to Regional Manager. Also provides leadership to district sales team through frequent and regular joint field days. Additional responsibilities include: helping to recruit, train and motivate district sales team, conduct annual job performance reviews with individual sales personnel in district, and organize and schedule periodic district sales meetings. Ensure accounts and shared accounts are in administrative good standing.
- B.S. in Engineering/Science or a related field
- Minimum of 3-5 years of Commercial or Industrial sales experience
- Successful track record meeting or exceeding sales goals
- Prior sales experience with water treatment specialty chemicals or equipment is preferred, but not required
- A background in water treatment or plant operations, specifically boiler or HVAC operations is required
- Knowledge of potable water systems, plumbing and electrical is a plus
- Strong relationship management skills
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Valid driver’s license with a good driving record
- Must be authorized to work in the United States
