JOB TITLE: Senior Test and Evaluation Engineering Support- Global Hawk

PROJECT OVERVIEW:

The Air Force Program Executive Officer for ISR & SOF (AFLCMC/WI) has the collective Air Force Materiel Command (AFMC) mission responsibility for equipping ISR & SOF warfighters to dominate the battlespace. In order to meet current and projected workload requirements in support of AFLCMC/WI, the Government must augment its organic (military and civil service) capabilities within the Global Hawk Division (AFLCMC/WIG) with Advisory and Assistance Services (A&AS) support.

JOB DESCRIPTION AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provide systems effectiveness technical expertise to assist with systems engineering, test planning, management, execution, and AWC processes for international Global Hawk weapon systems
  • Coordinate with the appropriate international agencies and project related organizations to ensure international Global Hawk weapon system test plans adequately address all required technical and engineering assessments
  • Assist with planning, organization, and control of the requirements case with regard to test, as well as planning for future testing support and any future weapon system testing requirements
  • Identify the necessary facilities, clearances, frequencies, frequency clearance procedures and processes, and flight scheduling to perform flight testing of the aircraft in support of test and AWC requirements.
  • Maintain awareness of USAF Global Hawk weapon system test activities and assess impacts to international Global Hawk weapon system testing, and assist in planning for the international Global Hawk weapon system development and operation tests
  • Evaluate program technical risk, establish risk mitigation plans, and participate in and/or support oversight of program technical risk reduction efforts as related to test and evaluation.
  • Assist in cost-effective test engineering, planning and execution based on prime contractor/user-provided requirements
  • Full reporting and adequate documentation of the weapon system flight test
  • Maintain awareness of the DCS and FMS contract requirements for test and evaluate impacts of these requirements to the overall health of the weapon system
  • Maintaining and submitting annual Program Introduction Documents (PID) to test organizations and review and provide feedback on Statement of Capability (SOC) delivered by test organizations for support of international Global Hawk weapon system testing
  • Assist with UAV permissions-to-fly and ferry flight preparations
  • Provide systems effectiveness technical expertise to assist with systems engineering, test planning, management, execution, and AWC processes for international Global Hawk weapon systems
  • Provide advice and aid to the customer and the programs prime contractor in support of the preliminary AWC of the international Global Hawk weapon system

REQUIRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:

Security Clearance: Secret

  • Minimum of ten (10) years relevant experience and a Masters degree in a relevant field OR:
    • Fourteen (14) years of relevant work experience plus a Bachelors degree, OR
    • Eighteen (18) years of relevant work experience
  • Possess a Secret security clearance and a valid USG passport, and be able to travel to CONUS or OCONUS locations as needed to support engineering tasks

DESIRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:

Experience and/or knowledge of the following activities:

  • Airworthiness Level 3 Endorsement, with level 1 or 2 desired
