Basic Job Description:

Service Technicians have the responsibility to be the hands-on problem solvers and maintenance men of the manufactured systems. Working in coordination with the Service Manager, he/she responds when customers have equipment failures or problems and travel to customer sites as needed to repair the problem as quickly as possible. They also have responsibility for preventive maintenance visits to customer sites and most times will be a member of the installation team. When not performing specific service tasks, they will assist in the Assembly Department as needed and report to the Assembly Supervisor. This document is not intended to be all inclusive. Each employee is responsible for other duties, as assigned.

Job Qualifications:

Some college or vocational degree preferred
Mechanical and electrical aptitude with very good knowledge of manufacturing and assembly techniques
Ability to work independently with limited supervision
Very good communication skills for dealing with customers in person and remotely
Flexibility with regard to travel schedules and availability

We are a Drug-free Workplace with pre-employment and on-going testing
Service engineers will undergo extensive training in nondestructive testing techniques
Must be a U.S. Citizen and pass a criminal background check
Travel is a requirement for this job position

General Description:

Respond to customer concerns, problems and questions remotely, if possible, to help solve their problems
Utilize knowledge and experience with systems to make recommendations to customers and Senior Management regarding upgrades,
replacements and repairs of systems and components
Troubleshoot and evaluate customers’ problems on site and work with staff to determine best courses of action
Maintain a neat and clean working environment and personal appearance particularly on customer sites
Adhere strictly to safety guidelines regarding lifting, ladders, tools, PPE and other safety matters
Perform system assembly and integration under the direction of the Assembly Supervisor when not on service travel assignments
Follow travel policies in accordance to the company Handbook
