Job Description:

The University of Pittsburgh’s Computing Services and Systems Development (CSSD) department is seeking a Systems Engineer – Exchange Administrator for its Infrastructure division at the off-campus Network Operations Center (NOC). This high-level technical position is responsible for the support of servers, workstations, and software for enterprise computing throughout the University. The position requires extensive knowledge of Microsoft Exchange administration. The incumbent must also demonstrate a working knowledge of SCCM, Active Directory, PowerShell, and Office365.

The incumbent will be responsible for managing enterprise and mission critical Microsoft Exchange environment in both an on-premise and Cloud environment.The position is responsible for the creation and maintenance of the documentation and support procedures for each supported system. This position will perform capacity planning and monitoring/tuning of the application systems environments to ensure maximum performance.

The incumbent must have excellent customer service and oral and written communication skills and be expected to work with and support users both internal and external to CSSD. The incumbent will need to demonstrate an ability to lead projects, people and teams in all phases of the project life cycle. Five years of demonstrated related career experience required. Requires extensive knowledge of Microsoft Windows-based operating systems as well as Microsoft Exchange. Strong skill with SCCM, Active Directory, Office365 Administration, PowerShell, and ADFS. Experience with Microsoft Azure and VMWare a plus.

Must be willing to work day, evening, and night shifts as required to support a 24-hour, seven-day operation. Must be able to work rotating shifts over a 24-hour period, including weekends and holidays.
