JOB TITLE: Systems Integration Engineer- EGI

PROJECT OVERVIEW:

  • The individual will support the Positioning, Navigation, and Timing (PNT) Program Office (PNT PO) with modernization of a variety of existing GPS receivers to meet existing DoD / civil mandates and DoD / national-level priorities
  • Duties will include planning, and executing technical aspects of multiple PNT PO GPS modernization programs
  • Will work with senior government personnel on a regular basis, and will frequently be called on to provide briefings and lead technical meetings/reviews
  • This position will be assigned to government offices at Robins AFB, GA

JOB DESCRIPTION AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Responsible for providing systems engineering process oversight, analysis, and engineering support services to ensure the effective and efficient delivery of multiple PNT PO GPS modernization programs. Services include some or all of the following:

  • Sys Engineering planning, requirements generation, and task development and execution for multiple GPS modernization programs
  • Satisfying civil and military mandates associated with Assured Positioning, Navigation, and Timing requirements
  • Developing / evaluating technical requirements, program strategies, statements of work and acquisition plans
  • Conducting engineering trade studies and technical analyses
  • Evaluating development, integration, and fielding of modernized GPS systems into Joint Service platforms
  • Evaluating OEM performance
  • Bid and proposal review/analysis

REQUIRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:

Security Clearance: Secret

  • Active Secret Clearance
  • Bachelors Degree in Engineering
  • At least 7 years related experience
  • Experience as a Systems Integration Engineer
  • At least 1 tour at AF Product/Logistics Center, or similar US Army/US Navy Center, assigned to a System Program Office
  • Participated in development, coordination, and execution of major program milestones (preferably ACAT II but ACAT III acceptable)
  • Experience with defense acquisition management processes as contained in the DoD 5000 series directives
  • Excellent communications skills, both written and verbally
  • Clear understanding of the OSD and USAF Acquisition organization

DESIRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 10 years experience
  • Experience with GPS integration on military platforms
  • Level II DAWIA Certification in Systems Planning, Research, Development & Engineering (SPRDE)
