Tool & Die Advanced Group B opening at Boker’s. This position requires 4 or more years’ experience as a die toolmaker forming dies; semi-permanent dies; and completing layout work. This position must be familiar with short run stamping tooling through progressive dies.

Some duties and responsibilities of this position are:

1. Plans, designs, constructs, or repairs a wide variety of intricate and complicated tools, dies, jigs, gauges, fixtures, to close tolerances.

2. Performs some difficult development work. Constructs complex units where design is available.

3. Selects allowances and devises mechanism detail. Does skilled fitting, timing, and adjusting.

4. Performs difficult tool room machine operations. This includes CAD/KEY, CNC lathe and other technologies (as these technologies exist or arise) required to perform tool room operations.

5. Works from complicated drawings and sketches. Uses advanced shop mathematics and all types of precision measuring instruments. Requires high degree of experience and trade skill and thorough knowledge of machine shop practice.

Boker’s, Inc. operates two shifts; 1st shift if 7:00 am to 3:30 pm, 2nd shift is 3:30 pm to midnight. Training is completed on 1st shift and individual will go to 2nd shift after training. Union employees scheduled on 2nd shift receive shift differential of $.80 per hour. Union employees must work overtime according to the Collective Bargaining Agreement. Employees can work overtime during the weekdays and/or on Saturday if needed.
