WATER SYSTEM OPERATOR in training

The Town of Hartford is seeking a candidate for the position of Water System Operator in Training to join the Water Department. This is an entry-level position that will require the successful candidate to obtain a State of Vermont Class 3 Public Water System Operator certification within two years. The successful candidate must possess a strong desire to learn and advance in a career in public water system operation, maintenance and repair. Good mechanical, math, science, reading, writing, comprehension, and computer skills are required. Will train the right candidate. Minimum qualifications include: Possess or be able to obtain a Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) within 1 year. Basic education (high school) or a combination of education and experience from which comparable knowledge and skills are acquired.
